Version 5.0 Release

As with prior releases, version 5.0 represents the consolidation of all features and functions generally (or specifically for clients) developed since our version 4.6 release (April 1998). It includes versions 4.6a, 4.6b, 4.6c and newer features to include:

A new Fax Viewer that dramatically improves the quality of sent or received faxes and allows for the ability to directly Forward to other users or Send/Re-Send the fax while viewing

Fax printer auto-install intelligence that detects 300 vs. 600 dpi (and optionally HPPCL versus Postscript) for automatically configuring each user's printer as an on-the-fly match to their currently selected default printer

Improved In-Bound Faxing support with the following new capabilities:
DID or Manual Routing to each users desktop
User fax activity tracking
Enhanced printing/scaling of oversized pages
User selectable Auto-CC: to unlimited other users
Various user selectable Auto-Print options
Multi-page TIFF formats
Optional TIFF attachments to e-mail messaging
Local drive/separate directory processing of all temp and in-bound files at the Fax Server Node
Separate Purge declarations for out-bound, in-bound fax files and queue entry retention. A new Absolute Receive Purge automatically handles long term housekeeping
Night-Bell Printing when forwarding attendants are unavailable

Greatly expanded billing file formats to accommodate any known billing collection requirements for any accounting system and optional elimination of zero-cost transactions

Remembered Senders List provides the ability to recall all of the "From Name" and "Voice Number" entries that have ever been entered when sending a fax

New Date Formats that conform to International Standards and are generally more informative

The ability to save recipient information without declaring a default client/matter number

Declare a specific dialtemplate for local calls versus long distance

Detect non-billable codes and sort/total these separately from billable

Automatically generate nightly billing files and append to existing if detected that a previous file has not yet been processed

The ability to direct e-mail messages to a declared ALIAS versus a USERID

More noticeable evidentiary stamp on hardcopy and e-mail confirmations and inclusion of recipient's voice number

Phone list expansion to 32,000 recipients
